Policies
The Islamic Academy of Britain are committed to ensuring that our policies are fair, clear and objective. We are also committed to working with students, parents and other support agencies to cater for the needs of all our staff and students. Below are a few of our policies. Copies of other policies are available upon request.
Preamble
I start in the name of `Allaah and ask `Allaah to raise the rank of the Prophet ﷺ. I ask `Allaah to grant us the sincere intention, the ability to understand and do good along with the reward in the Hereafter. The deed that is done without a sincere intention is wasted just as the deed that is done without it complying with the rules of the religion. Therefore, the success of people lies in learning and implementing what they have learned, i.e. correcting one’s intention and doing the good deeds in a way that complies with what the Prophet ﷺ taught.
I advise others with what my Shaykh advised me and others:
‘I advise with the knowledge of the religion it is the guide for everlasting happiness, a happiness that has no end. And it is the path for success in this life and the Hereafter.’
‘I advise you with embracing and working by the Qur`aan and the way of the Prophet ﷺ. Remain firm to the schools of `Ahlus-Sunnah and work on spreading the religion and teaching it to the people. Order with the good and forbid the evil.’
‘I also advise you to love each other for the sake of `Allaah and advise each other for His sake. Be supportive of each other and do not be segmented, hateful, and angry. Work by the hadeeth of the Prophet ﷺ that was narrated by `An-Nasaa`iyy:
لا يُؤْمِنُ أحدُكُم حتى يُحِبَّ لِأَخِيهِ ما يُحِبُّ لنفسِهِ من الخيرِ
This means: “One would not be a perfect believer until he likes for himself what he likes for his brother from the good matters.”
‘I warn you against discord and preferring money over the Hereafter, because some of the enemies of `Islaam are plotting and working diligently to destroy it. Thus, be like those mentioned in the hadeeth of the Prophet ﷺ narrated by `Al-Bukhaariyy:
المُؤمِنُ لِلمُؤمِنِ كالبُنْيَانِ يَشدُّ بَعْضُهُ بَعْضًا
This means: “The believer with the Muslim believer is like the building. Each brick supports the other.”
‘I advise you to help others and to be an aid to them and do not be a hindrance to their efforts to do good. Be unified and do not be fragmented. If you are fragmented, your strength will dissipate.’ i.e. your power will be lost.
I ask `Allaah for me and you to have the good practice and ending. May `Allaah have mercy upon me and you, `Aameen.
